Most common problem
The countdown never appears on my Lock Screen.
The countdown is a Live Activity, and it needs two switches on and a network connection. Check them in this order.
-
1
iOS Settings → Nudge Monster → Live Activities
Must be on. Without it iOS silently refuses every countdown, and the app has no way to tell you.
-
2
iOS Settings → Notifications → Nudge Monster → Allow
A countdown that starts while the app is closed arrives as a push. Deny notifications and nothing can wake it.
-
3
Be online a few minutes before it is due
The push has to reach the phone. Aeroplane mode or no signal at the moment it fires means the countdown starts late or not at all.
-

Still nothing? Try the demo nudge
Set a reminder two minutes out, lock the phone and wait. If the demo works but a real reminder doesn't, email me the time it was due and I will look at it.
Everything else
Monster mode doesn't ring through silent mode.
Monster mode uses a real system alarm, and iOS asks for permission separately the first time you arm one. If you declined, go to iOS Settings → Nudge Monster and allow alarms. Also confirm the reminder is actually set to Monster and not Normal, the mode is picked per reminder, not globally.
My birthdays didn't come through from Contacts.
The app only reads birthdays that are saved in the Contacts card itself. If a birthday lives in a calendar event or a note it won't be picked up. Check iOS Settings → Nudge Monster → Contacts is allowed, then open Birthdays in the app and pull to refresh. Contacts are read on your phone and never uploaded.
Can I call or WhatsApp someone from the reminder?
Yes. The reminder pop-up lets you call the person or open a WhatsApp chat directly. Choose the call or WhatsApp action when the reminder appears, then continue in the call or chat.
I got a new phone. How do I move my reminders?
If iCloud backup was on, install the app on the new phone, sign in to the same iCloud account and your reminders, history and birthday photos come back on their own. If it was off, use Export on the Data & Backup screen of the old phone, move the file across, and use Import on the new one. Export works whether or not you have Pro.
How do I cancel Pro, and can I get a refund?
Cancel in iOS Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Apple handles all payments, so refunds have to go through them at reportaproblem.apple.com, I have no way to issue one myself.
I paid for Pro but the app says I'm on free.
Open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases, making sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it on. If it still doesn't unlock, email me and include the date of purchase, you do not need to send a receipt.
Is there an iPad, Mac, Apple Watch or Android version?
Not yet, it is iPhone only, on iOS 26 or later. The whole app is built around the Lock Screen and the Dynamic Island, so other platforms need real thought rather than a port. Tell me which one you want and it goes on the list.
How do I delete everything?
Deleting the app removes everything stored on your phone. To clear the iCloud copy as well, turn off iCloud in the app's Settings first. Turning off Live Activities removes your records from the reminder service entirely, there is no account to close, because there was never an account.
I found a bug, or I want a feature.
Send it over. For a bug, the useful details are your iPhone model, your iOS version, and what the reminder was set to do, screenshots help more than descriptions. Feature requests genuinely get read; the app is small enough that one email can change what gets built next.
