Privacy Policy

I don't have accounts, I don't track you, and I don't know what your reminders say. Everything below is detail on that.

What stays on your phone

Your reminders, birthdays, notes, any photos you add to a birthday, and your settings are stored on your device. They are not uploaded to us and we cannot read them.

iCloud

If you are signed in to iCloud, the app backs your reminders, history and any birthday photos up to your own private iCloud account, so they survive a reinstall or a new phone. That data sits in your iCloud storage under Apple's terms. We have no access to it — not the contents, not the fact that it exists.

You can turn it off under Settings → iCloud in the app. With it off nothing leaves your device, and Export on the Data & Backup screen becomes your only copy.

The reminder service

To make a countdown start on your Lock Screen without you opening the app, the app talks to a small service we run. It is deliberately built so that it cannot learn anything about you. It stores:

  • A random identifier generated on your device the first time the app runs. It is not linked to your name, your email, your Apple Account or your device's advertising identifier.
  • A random secret, stored only as a one-way hash, so nobody else can send notifications to your phone.
  • A token Apple issues that lets a notification reach your device.
  • For each pending reminder: a random identifier and the times it is due.

No reminder text, no names, no contacts, no locations and no message content ever reach that service. When a countdown appears on your Lock Screen the words in it are filled in on your phone, not sent from us.

Pending records are deleted once they have been used. Turning off Live Activities in the app's Settings removes your records from the service entirely.

What we do not do

  • No analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising and no advertising identifiers.
  • No third-party trackers or SDKs of any kind.
  • We never sell, rent or share data, because we do not have any to share.
  • We do not build a profile of you and cannot, since we do not know who you are.

Contacts and photos

If you add a photo to a birthday, it is stored on your device and in your own iCloud backup. If you pick a phone number so the app can offer a Call button, it stays on your device. Neither is sent to us.

Notifications

The app asks permission to send notifications, because a reminder that cannot notify you is not a reminder. You can withdraw that at any time in iOS Settings.

Payments

Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your card details, your billing address or your Apple Account. Apple tells us only that a subscription is active.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Since we do not collect personal information from anyone, there is nothing held about a child either.

Your rights

Delete the app and everything local goes with it. To remove your records from the reminder service, turn off Live Activities in Settings before deleting, or email us and we will remove them — though as the records are a random identifier and some timestamps, they do not identify you in the first place.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, the updated date at the top changes and the new version appears here.
